Bayelsa Gov. Diri Commissions handwashing machine as first project after 5 months in office [PHOTOS]

The Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri, yesterday, commissioned a handwashing machine, making it the first project the administration is commissioning after 5 months in office.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, commissioned the project at the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Bayelsa State Wednesday 8th July, 2020.

It will be recalled that Senator Douye Diri was sworn in as the fifth civilian governor of Bayelsa State on the 14th of February, 2020, after the Supreme Court of Nigeria had sacked Chief David Lyon as governor-elect barely 24 hours to his inauguration.

Confirming the ceremony to NAIJA LIVE TV, the Senior Special assistant to the Deputy Governor on New Media Mr. Clement Ovokeroye Paul, on a facebook post, said the Deputy Governor Commisioned the project on behalf of the Governor Sen. Douye Diri on Wednesday
