The Federal Government of Nigeria, Monday has agreed to pay the salaries of teachers in Private schools following the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

This was contained in a statement signed by the President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Yomi Otubela.

According to him, the association forwarded a proposal to the Economic Sustainability Committee headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, for the government to pay the salaries of the private school owners.

He noted that an approval has been granted to the proposal by the Federal Executive Council.

Is it possible in this country with collection of greedy, wicked, self centered, lunatic, evil, cultists leaders who have embezzled all the money in the treasury? Before you know it, they ll have created ghost schools with thousands of teachers and when when you call them to give account, you ll hear stories like office got burnt and lot more then case close. All i know is that it can't work in Nigeria.

Private school teachers are at the recieving end of this pandamic all along and it would be commendable if the administration can come to their aides Because they have families: some of them are bread winners. I wonder how they have been coping all along

The skepticism prevalent in Nigerians is enough to prevent any form development. Over 80k MSME received stipends from the government as covid 19 relief, others were doubting.

Private school teachers have been hit hard since the pandemic as most of them haven't been paid salaries while some others receive half the regular salary.

FG says they'll pay the salaries and the spirit of Sir Thomas is in everyone which shouldn't be, this is how some opportunities pass people by. Hope and pray.
