Things to do on Eid al-Adha

Eid-ul-Adha is a joyous occasion for Muslims, and Muslims across the world celebrate it. Here are a few things that can be done on Eid al-Adha to make it more memorable.

1. Spending Time With Family

Eid is a day of celebration on which you want to have a great time with your family. People may be abroad for the whole year, but at the time of Eid, they like to come back to enjoy it with their family. The family traditions, the waking up early to get ready for Eid prayers to going to other family members house to greet Eid to eat specially prepared Eid desserts, can’t be enjoyed if you are missing out all the fun and spending time all alone. So spend time with your family, create new memories, reminisce the old ones, and have a great Eid.
Just make sure to adhere to all precautions and guidelines as stipulated by NCDC.

2. Visiting Friends

You may be busy all year, but Eid is the time to meet your friends and have a great time with them. Your friends may be busy on their 1st day of Eid but 2nd and 3rd day of Eid is also a good time to spend with them.

3. Have BBQ

Most people sacrifice an animal on Eid and one part is for them, or people also receive packets of meat from their friend and relatives, so Eid al-Adha is a time to test your BBQ skills and do some BBQ. Invite your friends and have a BBQ night with them. This is for a foodie like us but my best delicacy is either pepper soup or egusi with the ram's head

4. Watch Movies

I think cinemas are not opened for now but you can have the cinema effect too especially when new movies are sometimes released during the festive period. Log in to you Netflix, switch off all lighting(this makes the room darker), cross your leg and eat your popcorn as you watch

5.Games/Sports

Eid is also a way to relive your childhood memories. With all your cousins around, you can play sports like cricket, tennis, or board games or card games with them, and make this Eid memorable with a little competitive squabble. Childhood was fun with hide and seek games, as a female, sometimes I play video games with my male sibling...

6. Family Trip

Take a little road trip to any mountainous region, city outskirt, or suburban, and enjoys the view and has quality time with your family on Eid.

7. Remembering Poor and Needy

Eid al-Adha is all about celebration and enjoying it with friends and family but at the same time giving to the poor and needy as well so that they can enjoy like you. Look around your immediate neighbourhood and give to the needy.

8. Share/buy gifts

Eid period is also a time to share gifts to your loved ones or friends. This is can go from varieties of gift items to the least expected. I don't mind collecting gift from strangers too...

Eid Mubarak In Advance.
May Allah spare our lives.

Stay Safe and Happy
