Why Can't Glo Be Like Jio? by OneKinGuy(m): 10:38am On Jul 15, 2020
Jio is a telecommunications company in India which is very popular for its shocking cheap and fast internet data.
Jio is been in the news lately and it's no coincidence. Multiple cooperation including Google, Facebook, Intel, Qualcomm has invested over 15 billion dollars in jio within just just a period of 10 weeks. This is mainly because jio is the largest data network in the world and has a 85% share of India's 1.3billion population.

Now to glo. Glo has been around since 2003. This was just 2 years after The Global Systems for Mobile Communications (GSM) was introduced to Nigeria in 2001.But as of today, people still find it hard to get decent connection on glo. All they do is to give influencers billions of naira to promote they poor network

With over 200 million people, We have the potential of becoming a digital hub in Africa just as India is doing the same in Asia. But the only thing we use our population to do is to claim giant of Africa. I just wish glo as in indigenous company can see the opportunities they lie in front of them and act quickly.

No doubt that celebrity endorsement improves performance of firms, however, customers looks beyond celebrity, they consider the quality of the product before making purchase. Glo bank on cheap data and celebrities to push their products, though there is significant effect on the use of these factors however this contributes to their slow growth rate when compared to MTN Nigeria.
