Bruce Beach is a segregated beach and black resort in the 1900's. They also sold lots to other black families who also own homes on the beach. But in 1920's the Klan came through just like they did to other thriving black areas. Then the city of Los Angeles stole the land and force everyone out. They renamed Bruce beach to Manhattan Beach till date. Read more
