They're not, the note 9 is a higher brand, uses Helio G85 against the G80 used by Redmi 9 and the note 9 has a better camera. They're both really good phones, buy based on your budget

I got redmi 8 about 2 weeks ago. The phone is supposed to be 4g, 64g, but I noticed the RAM is just 51g as against the 64g that was stated. The phone did not come with earpiece.

Though the phone is not bad but these are the two things I notices.

The phone system chips out of the rom space which reduces the overall available space when device is turned on.

If you where to teardown the device, you will find the 64gig eMMC 5.1 storage rom inside.

The person above has answered you. And Xiaomi don't put earpiece in their phones. It would make it costly

First of all, Update your phone, if there is any pending update. Disable WiFi and Bluetooth scanning..

Head to Xiaomi thread and ask questions, if you have anyone. Enjoy your new phone.

I want to go to the market to get a new phone today. Redmis note 8 or note8 pro or redmi note 9 on my mind. Are there any problems with the brand?
I use the note 8 pro, and I will tell you it is a very nice phone. You will really enjoy it, swears.
Got it 109k, 6gig RAM, 128 gig ROM.
The downside though, during heavy gaining, you will experience slight heating,norms with mediatek, but that ain't a deal breaker.
The processor is soo good.
