Good morning! Here is today’s summary from Nigerian Newspapers:

1. The House of Representative Committee which is investigating alleged misappropriation of funds in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has summoned Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, to appear before it on Monday. This follows the appearance of the former Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Joi Nunieh, on Friday via Zoom.

2. A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has restrained the Nigeria Police and other Law enforcement agencies from arresting the former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Joi Nunieh. The court presided over by Justice S.E Thompson also granted an ex-parte order, restraining the NDDC and others from arresting Nunieh, pending the determination of the matter in court.

3. The Federal Government has provided some specific guidelines for reopening of schools in the country. The guidelines announced by the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, on Friday cover four thematic areas. They include: staying home and learning safely before schools and learning facilities reopen; Reopening process; and conditions for safety when learning facilities are reopened.

4. The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has appointed Ojo Amos Olatunde as the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA), The Cable reports. The former clerk, Mohammed Sani-Omolori was removed for refusing to retire after 35 years in service. Omolori had argued via a press release, insisting his time was not up yet.
