Arotile: Classmate who “accidentally” killed Combat Pilot Has no Driver’s License – Fresh reports have emerged that the former classmate who hit Tolulope Arotile with a car has no driver’s license.

Nigeria has been thrown into a state of mourning after her first female Combat Pilot, Tolulope Arotile, died in a car accident on Tuesday July 14 at the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) base in Kaduna.

The 23–year-old Flying Officer died after she got knocked down by a car driven by her former classmate who was reversing the vehicle.

However, it has been revealed that the classmate has no valid driver’s license according to a report by Channels TV.

Military sources who spoke to Channels TV disclosed that the classmate in the company of his friends wanted to drop off his relatives at the base. He intended to drop off Arotile after seeing her on the road inside the base.

Unfortunately, he hit her while reversing his car.

The female pilot died from severe head injuries.

The military sources also disclosed that the classmate and other people have been taken into custody as they conduct an investigation into the untimely death of the late pilot.

The late pilot’s elder sister, Damilola Adegboye, Adegboruwa (SAN) and other concerned Nigerians have called on security operatives to probe the death of the deceased.

According to NAF, Arotile will be buried with full military honours on July 23.

A statement from NAF quoted her saying, “I joined the military simply out of passion for it. Being a military personnel has been a long time ambition; the carriage and what it stands for are simply exceptional,”
