Am seeing a lot of people shouting 'When will Nigeria launch her own' and to all of them, I have these points for you

1.When ASUU goes on strike, asking for more money for universites, most of you call them names, or accuse them of plotting against the government of the day, or accuse them (rightly, let's not lie) of embezzling the money meant for research.

At the end of the day, not enough money for universities, not enough money for research, not enough money or materiel for space probes.

2. When we tell you that APC and PDP have no plan for Nigeria to be an induistrial nation, you people laugh at us, and then go on fighting for oil money.

3.The UAE produces 3million barrels of crude a day. They have a population of eleven million people.

Nigeria produces 2.3 million barrels of crude a day, and we have a population of 200 million people.

Let these figures sink in.

Two men earn N5 million each. One has a wife and three children to support. The other has 4 wives, 40 children, 20 dependents, and several concubines, and their children. Tell me, which one would look impoverished.

We are an oil producing nation, and the reason why we are not as rich as the UAE is because our population is too high. That is why we cannot afford things like satellite to Mars, and so on.

If Nigeria's population was less than 5 million, maybe we would be able to afford the vainty project of the UAE ...and send Nigerians to Mars too...

One more thing...the UAE, Saudi Arabia and all them oil producing countries are not developed countries. They are countries that earn a very high income from oil, and have populations that are low enough for them to have a surplus budget every year.....which means their leaders can chop, and still have enough cash left over to spend on the populace. (And the UAE has a large poor underclass, ditto Saudi Arabia.) .And they have enough money left over to spend on education and high quality research.

Nigeria is an oil producing country with a large population. Our population cannot be sustained on the income we earn from oil. Even if all the oil money went to the Niger Delta, it won't even be enough for them. That's why resource control, and eventually industrialization might help us get the revenue and the development to send a manned mission to Neptune if we want in 2056.

What is even painful is that Nigerian leaders and the people don't realize that this oil, and all the other resources was not given to us to sell and chop the money. It was given to us to make ten talents out of one. Yet, we bury our one talent, and misbehave.

UAE descended from Shem the blesses son of Noah. Africa descended from Ham/Canaan the cursed son of Noah - which explains why they can't launch a rocket into space. Yes it's Canaan that was cursed but the anger was directed at Ham which could have affected Africa

Funny how Nigerians are asking when Nigeria will send a probe to Mars instead of when will we Nigerians send a probe to Mars. I guess we imagine some external Nigeria will send a probe to Mars on the behalf of us Nigerians.

For the right question the answer is, when we Nigerians get our brains out of our asses we Nigerians will send a probe to Mars and beyond. Until then, perhaps we should think of making drones or something much less complicated like get along with one another.
