The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Barr. Kingsley Ononuju today engaged concerned Imo citizens in an interactive session at Radio House in Owerri on his achievements, plans and programmes of his ministry.

Ononuju is his speech portrayed that Commerce and Industry is among the hub for sustainable economic growth and revenue generation in the state & this is the key driving force for growth and advancement for a purposeful / viable society.

While speaking, he outlined the new innovations which came as a result of his emergence as the Oversear of the ministry which brought about establishment of Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre in the ministry, MoU signed for revival of Industrial Estate Onitsha road, revival of Industrial cluster at Naze, revamp of Imo co-operative society which went moribond over 15 years in Imo thereby engaging over 1,000 cooperators; granting over 4,000 free interest NIRSAL loan to Imolites which is fully sponsored and approved by His Excellency, Gov. Hope Uzodimma and many more.

He reiterated that through his ministry, more plans and programmes fully sponsored by the shared prosperity government of Imo state, coupled with new innovations have spranged-up which is of more benefit to all and sundry in the state; such as Invest Imo Programme, Imo Trade fair and New Hope Market which will commence in no distant time.

He noted that plans are on gear to establish "market segmentation" (farmers market) & E-commerce Hub immediately after the end of Covid 19 pandemic and this will engage over 150,000 Imo youths.
