How To Become A Nurse In Nigeria

One of the most lucrative and exciting professions around the world today is nursing.

And a lot of people don't know the ways, the how or the steps for becoming a nurse in Nigeria today.

So, in this article, I will be explaining to you the ways/steps in which you can become a nurse in Nigeria.

There are basically two ways to become to nurse in Nigeria. It's either you go through a school of nursing or you go through a university.

If you go through a school of nursing, in an average of 3years, you become a nurse.

However, if you go through university, it takes five years for you to become a nurse.

But then, you may want to know the difference between both routes.

Because just like you, I saw no reason why anyone will spend 5years in the university when they can just spend 3years maximum in the school of nursing.

Well, there is a bit difference between both.

I will advise you to read the types of nursing degrees in Nigeria so you can make a very informed decision.

Also, I want you to know that if you go through a nursing school also known as school of nursing, you become an RN, RM etc

But at the university, you get awarded with BSN.

For some days now, we have been receiving questions from aspirants/students who are very concerned and bewildered about the best choice to make between a school of nursing and a university.

Have you ever found yourself in that situation trying to decide on which to start your musing career?
