A man identified as Musa Abuabakar has been arrested for having canal knowledge with his 9-year-old stepdaughter at Rupokwu in Rivers State.

The 30-year-old suspect who was taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department on Wednesday revealed that his wife never had time for him hence his shameful act.

The victim also revealed that Abuabakar has having canal knowledge with her since the age of 4-year-old.

During this time, according to her, he puts his finger into her private. She added that she was afraid to report to her mother to avoid being beaten by the stepfather.

She later reported to her mother after she promised her she will not be beaten.

The Rivers Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident.
