Too much time in our hands

There is need to understand that Big Brother Naija is predominantly for the youths. If the show is enjoying peak petronage in Nigeria, it goes a long way to tell you a lot about our youths.

Don't get me wrong, watching BBN is not a crime or misplaced priority, it can be entertaining. But when our youths can't say or post anything else aside from BBN, then there is a problem.

Our belief system always favor trivial matters over more serious ones.

educate yourself on the franchise...
- big brother in the US is in its 22nd season, and will start again on the 5th of Aug on CBS
- big brother Brasil (aka BBB) is in its 20th season this year
- big brother Germany (13th season) was going on while the covid19 started
- big brother Australia (12th season) just finished last week
- big brother Canada (8th season) was in full swing when they cancelled the show due to covid19

...and the list goes on
