14 Airports Now Open For Full Operations- FG by Debstegab100(m): 1:52pm On Jul 26, 2020
It was revealed that the Federal Government has cleared 14 Airports as at Friday, July 24, for resumption of commercial flights.

The airport currently on operations before the FG new order includes; Lagos and Abuja airports were opened on Wednesday July 8 while four other airports that follow suits were Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Mallam Aminu, Kano International Airport, Maiduguri Airport, Borno and Sam Mbakwe Airport and Owerri, Imo State Airport.

Following the announcement, The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) inspection team has been inspecting the airport for certification.

The guidelines that was set aside for reopening of airports was putting in place Covid-19 protocols, like floor marking to ensure social/physical distancing as well as hygiene practices must be observed.

Following the Nigerian Civil Aviation certification, 14 Airports have met the guidelines and have been reopened for full operations.

In addition to the six earlier listed, other airports that have passed the inspection includes; Victor Attah Airport, Uyo,Akwa Ibom; Kaduna Airport, Kaduna, Yola Airport, Adamawa and Margaret Ekpo Airport, Calabar, Crops River State.

other includes; Sultan Abubakar Airport, Sokoto, Benin Kebbi Airport, Kebbi, Yakubu Gown Airport, Jos Plateau State and Benin Airport, Benin and Edo State Airport...

The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika disclosed the latest development on his twitter handle.
