COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria Surpass 40,000 Mark by Newsbreakers: 9:07am On Jul 27, 2020
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 555 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 40,532. 2 new deaths were recorded along with 426 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 555 new cases are reported from 18 states- Lagos (156), Kano (65), Ogun (57), Plateau (54), Oyo (53), Benue (43), FCT (30), Ondo (18), Kaduna (16), Akwa Ibom (13), Gombe (13), Rivers (12), Ekiti (9), Osun (cool, Cross River (3), Borno (2), Edo (2), Bayelsa (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 555 cases were from 18 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 156. Kano State followed with 65 while Ogun State had 57. 426 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 17,374 from 16,948. There were also 2 new deaths. Find the breakdown below:
