Job Title: Treasury Officer
Job Type: Full time
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
Experience: 2-5 years+
Location: Lagos
Job Field: Sales/Marketing/Business Development.

Responsibilities
• Cultivate and maintain courteous and efficient relationship with clients.
• Serve as company’s representative to financial/investment community and shareholders.
• Manage banking and investment banking relationships
• Manage A/R, A/P relationships with third party vendors and customers
• Oversees and delivers recommendations to management regarding financials, audit matters, investments, and strategic initiatives and direction.
• Source appropriately priced and structured deposit liabilities for the company from retail and institutional sources.
• Cultivate new clientele on a regular basis.
• Timely respond to feedback and other customer related issues or requests.
• Participate in creating new and better marketing based on field experience.
• Continually generate a viable pipeline of prospects/potential clients within the desired target market that will ensure the achievement of the set personal and departmental targets
• Produce reports of daily and weekly activities.
• Conduct surveys and provide feedback of rates of other financial institutions
• Contribute to the development of new products and/or better marketing ideas.
• Provides recommendation to enhance treasury policies and procedures
• Liaise regularly with treasury management and divisions in order to understand ongoing changes in business activities and developments
• Undertake other related tasks and duties as assigned by the management.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization (i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and pension funds and investments).
• Evaluate capital expenditures, investment activities and portfolio management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC, FASB, SOX and Understands how regulatory reform will impact the business and helps ensure the business is best positioned to respond.
• Manage aspects of risk through accounting, audit, planning and treasury functions
Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance or any related field
• MBA or Professional Certification in Business, Management, or Finance would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of capital markets, accounting, finance and tax
• Knowledge of MS Office including Excel
• At least 2-5 years of experience in a bank or a finance and treasury sector.
