Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Barr Kingsley Ononuju partners with Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) CEO Engr. Innocent Chukwuma, for Industrialization of Imo state.

With the lead by the shared prosperity Govt of Sen. Hope Uzodimma given for the immediate take-off of Industrialization of Imo state to be the doyen of commercial hub of Nigeria and West Africa, to this end, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Barr. Kingsley Ononuju entered into partnership with Innoson motors for full scale Industrialization of Imo state.

This inclusive partnership will encourage the inflow of industrialist across Nigeria to invest in Imo state and inturn create job for over 300-500 Imo youths (skilled and unskilled) and Improve the Internally generated revenue for the state government to be used for provision of infrastructural facilities for all and sundry.

According to Ononuju, we (as Igbos) need to build a strong economic base in South-East and especially in Imo state. I come in the name of his Excellency Gov. Hope Uzodimma who has given a lead for full large scale commercialization in Imo state, and as a step down transformer for this government, I'm hell-bent in harnessing the potentials and improving Imo state economy.

Engr. Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, the CEO of IVM who was elated with the magnanimous hand of fellowership extended to invest in the soil of Imo state by Gov. Hope Uzodimma through his Commerce and Industry Commissioner, Hon. Barr. Kingsley Ononuju, assured him of prompt participation and involvement in industrialization of Imo state.

Recall that Gov. Hope Uzodimma, from inception of his government, have encouraged and assured the private sector for ease of doing buisness in the state by providing a secured environment for their take-off under his watch and prompt involvement of Industrialist in job creation, economic stimulation and enhancement of IGR for the state.

IVM, popularly known as Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Co. Ltd is an indigenous Nigerian automobile and bus manufacturing company. It was founded by Innocent Chukwuma Nwala, and runs a plant in Nnewi, Anambra state. Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing is nicknamed Pride Of African Road with over 70% of the car parts are produced locally, while the rest is sourced from Japan, China, and Germany.

Ononuju was accompanied on the visit alongside Barr. Ndukwe O. Ndukwe, Barr. P.O Uwa and other staffs of the ministry.
