45yrs ago, on 29 July 1975: Gen. Yakubu Gowon, President of Nigeria, was in Kampala attending the OAU meeting when he heard--via one of his aides--that he had been ousted from office in a military coup. Reuters captured the moment when Gowon was given the news.
Looking at him, you can't help but realise how young these guys were when they had the opportunity to make Nigeria great but failed at it. Now several of them are in their 70s and 80s yet they still want to be in the ruling class at all cost. What you could not offer over the last 5 decades, is it now that you can offer it?
