Anambra state government is currently constructing large tailoring market behind the shoe market in Nkwelle Oyi local government to be ready before the end of the year

Having a market for all sorts of ready made shirts, blouses, trousers, skirts, buba, danshiki, caps, embroidery on fabrics for arts etc will help pull talents together to make the market grow. It is sad that in 2020, Nigeria imports African ready-made clothes from China!

Keep living in delusion, you see shoe manufacturing where shoe dealers from far north, central Africa even Lagos come to buy their products, you are posting nonsense, can you show me market with clusters of Yoruba shoe manufactures just like what's uptainable in Aba and Anambra? Stop forcing your people on what they are not known for grin

All the more reason why the Biafra idea is STUPID.

Who will be the primary market of this expansion in Anambra State?

NIGERIANS.

Africa's biggest market, and the world's 6th largest consumer market.

Secessionists imagine that they will be able to sell these wares to the world, and don't need the Nigerian market. But they are seriously deluded. Countries are putting up protectionist barriers to build their own local industries. Others like China, have comparative advantage in manufacturing, and will leverage that to start price wars if need be, lowering them to stave off any competition.

Many buying countries would simply prefer the familiarity of Italian or even China made products, and would shun new, unproven stuff from some little African country.

Bottom line: For these Eastern industries to thrive, and take off to the next level, THEY NEED THE NIGERIAN MARKET.

Secession kills that immediately.

Nigeria is projected to become the world's THIRD most populous nation after China and India by 2050.

That is MARKET on a world class scale which Igbo manufacturers can have FIRST ACCESS TO BEFORE ALL-COMERS, if they play their cards right, and remain in the federation.

That FIRST ACCESS to the Nigerian market is already happening slowly, as groups like INNOSON and others get government supply contracts. INNOSON even supplies the Nigerian Airforce with equipment now.

As we approach 2050, the Igbos could become the richest ethnicity in all Africa, and among the richest on earth, if they remain...Nigerians.

A word is enough for the wise.

What are you saying, bro? People from Cameroon, Niger, Togo, Ghana, etc, come to Aba to buy footwears. In my father's shop in Ariaria,we used to have customers from Sierra Leone coming to buy shoes.

If Biafra secedes tomorrow, we simply export to Nigeria, or Nigerians come to Biafra to buy. What's the big deal?
