Have you wondered where the Lagos State Government House is located? I took a drive through the part of Alausa where it is located for your viewing pleasure. I couldn't drive into the Government House proper but i promise to find time to do that at a later date so that you can see what the Lagos State Government House Looks Like.

Lagos has two house, alausa and marina state house, Ambode is the only governor as of now to live in the alausa house, sanwoolu chose marina state house and operates from there. Tinubu and fashola also lived in marina state house

Governor of Lagos does not live there, his residence is beside State House , Marina, where the former Presidents stays when Lagos was Nigeria's Capital.

Governors of Lagos State originally lived and worked in the Marina/Onikan area. The residence was at Lagos House Marina and the office was at the former prime minister's residence.

The Murtala Muhammad Administration made Ikeja the capital of Lagos in 1976 and the government gradually began moving to Ikeja. (The former governor's office/prime minister's residence became the ECOWAS Secretariat).

Governor Lateef Jakande lived at State House, Isaac John Street in Ikeja GRA and his office was at the Round House in Alausa.

Governor Mike Akhigbe felt that it was not ideal for the governor to have to commute from GRA to Alausa everyday, besides, the residence on Isaac John Street was relatively small, so he began building a new Lagos House in Alausa. The new complex had a residence for the governor, the governor's office, banquet hall, tennis courts, guest house and other facilities.

Lagos House, Alausa was abandoned, but it was later completed by Governor Bola Tinubu in 2007. It became the governor's office while the Round House was handed over to the deputy governor.
