Here are why you should draw with a ballpoint pen (based on my personal experience and preference).

Drawing with a ballpoint pen is Permanent!
1) TIME: Due to the permanent nature of the ink, you work faster because you can't spend time correcting errors.
2) PORTABILITY: You can carry it anywhere, pull it out, and make art. It is also found everywhere (even in prisons). So no excuse to not make art anytime, anywhere (especially as you don't even need a blank paper).
3) INTRIGUING: Trust me, it is fascinating to those who doesn't know that the pen can be a medium of art expression (although it is slowly becoming mainstream).
4) EFFECT OF INK: The ink is able to intersect over text so drawing over textbook and newspaper pages, give the artwork a unique effect that can't be gotten from any other traditional medium of expression. It sometime looks photoshopped when photographed.

Over two years late...
Still believe drawing with a pen is fun and all artist should experiment with this medium.
