Aviland Agro Company is opening an online agro food store, starting with some staple food special flours - food stuffs processed into fine flour/powder, most of which are gluten free. Our aim is to make available and easily accessible, affordable quality flour processed carefully (& fortified - with added nutrients) and packaged in 1kg/2kg/5kg to the satisfaction and wellness (health consciousness) of our consumers - for making delicious healthy meals, snacks and the food business world - caterers, bakers and restaurants/eateries in making nutritious tasty dishes, snacks/confectioneries. Why Special flours: Processing grains, nuts, roots and tubers and so on into flour helps prolong the shelf life of these perishable produce/foods apart from retaining most of its natural nutrients intact, giving it more storage time (mostly 6months to a 1year) for future consumption, it makes available more for consumption even when its out of season or when scarce or costly. The situation of scarcity of quality food, and better nutrients consumption by the populace gets solved to a great extent if we can get these nutritious flours for food production - cooking, baking - snacks and other consumables. Most of these flours contain nutrients/calories needed by our body for balanced diet, growth/development, proper functioning of the body and for building strong immune system - defence of the body, day to day activities. They contain mainly protein, fiber, vitamins A/B/C.... and iron etc. |

Gluten-free flour by Aviland Agro Online Food Store. Gluten is a type of protein in some (cereal grain e.g.: wheat, rye, barley) flour which has properties that helps it rise when yeast is added and maintains the size/shape. Its been found not to be healthy enough for consumption in flours snacks/diets that contain gluten, instead gluten-free flours (cassava, corn, coconut, potato, plantain etc) are rather advised and encouraged for cooking and baking. Gluten is found to trigger adverse effect of inflammation - internal injury/irritation and eternal, immunological and autoimmune reactions - not functioning immune system, immune system attacking healthy cells, in the body, it produces a number of related disorders including celiac disease - , in some percentage of the general population and other neurological disorders, which can be averted and treated by gluten-free diets: gluten-free grains/roots & tubers, fruits and vegetables. Cassava Flour; Cassava flour which is made from a nutrient rich root/tuber produce - staple food, processed into flour by drying and milling without the normal fermentation process for garri or fufu. Cassava flour is a good alternative to wheat flour, for baking cakes, bread snacks/confectioneries. Soybean Flour; Soybean is a good source for food amongst other things one could get from it like; soybean oil which is one of the best type of vegetable oil that is consumed (its polyunsaturated - low in fat and rich in omega 3), soy milk, soybean cake and others. Soybean flour which is dried and milled to flour is also used for baking {added to flour} and cooking. Soybean flour is; Rich in good protein {gluten free} Low in carbohydrate. Coconut Flour/powder; Coconut is a multi source produce that we get a number of things from like; Its natural water The milk gotten from the flesh Coconut oil, Apart from that, we also can make out flour from it. This is made from coconut after been removed from shell, its blended, drained and dried. It can be used as baking flour or part of ingredients for baking when roasted after blending and is drained of its milk (coconut powder), also can be used as a thickener in cooking. Coconut has essential nutrients making it a good source/alternative flour to be used; e.g.: Its high in fibre Gluten free - healthy protein Healthy fat when used in cooking or baking Its low in sugar and good for diabetic patients. |

Corn flour; Corn flour which is gluten free, is a bit different from cornmeal, cornmeal is made by grinding the whole grain; bran/shaft, endosperm and germ, whereas cornflour is milled after removing the barn/shaft, just the endosperm is used to make cornflour. Cornflour is commonly used to make bread and also for tortillas and as a thickener in cooking.
