VOICE AIR MEDIA gathered that Ayomide and one of his brother, identified as Oladimeji Wasiu were riding on a motorcycle while coming from their home town ,Iragbiji after Eid-el-Kabir celebration when the incident happened.

The incident was said to have occurred at Ilahun village along Ibokun road at exactly 3:30 pm.

While narrating his ordeal to VOICE AIR MEDIA, Wasiu who was on the same bike with the victim said they met police officers at a Check Point along Odo Osun (Osun River), Ilahun village, Ibokun road, Ibokun Local Government Area of Osun and one of the officers who had earlier ordered them to stop allegedly hit Ayomide with the butt of the gun.

The physically traumatized Wasiu further alleged that the said police officer was heavily drunk discovered Ayomide had more than N50 on him and lose his temper and started hitting him with butt of the gun and the victim fell down from the bike and became unconscious.

According to him, the attack led the 20 years old Fashion Designer with a serious injury on the head, adding that the victim was rushed to the Emergency Unit of Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital, Osogbo where he is currently receieving treatment.

He added that his current condition is between life and death.

He said, immediately after the attack on the innocent man, his phone and money amounting to N50,000 disappeared.

He added that the delay caused by Mr Ayomide to pay the bribe led to a heated argument between him and the police that led to the strike.

"While we were coming from home, at Iragbiji after Sallah, we met four police officers on our way, one of the police officer was smoking India hemp (Marijuana), he stopped us and requested for money, when my brother brought out money to give him he saw the huge amount of money(#50,000) in his pocket, It was in the cause of this that the police officer lost his anger and hit him with the butt of his gun on his head, and immediately we fell down from the motorcycle and the remaining three officers ran away.

"Before I stood up to rescue my brother, I discovered that the police officer was on the verge of running away before he was stopped by passersby and my brothers who were coming behind us.

"One policeman who went to buy food instantly rushed Ayomide to LAUTECH hospital, Osogbo with his private car.

And immediately he was rescued from the scene we discovered that Ayo's phone and the sum of #50,000 has been stolen, Oladimeji Wasiu said.

Another witness, who trained the victim (Ayomide) for tailoring work , Adebayo Popoola told VOICE AIR MEDIA that Ayomide who has been given a leave for freedom at work, came to assist him in Iragbiji for Salah work and he was with N50,000 expected to be given to his mother.

Popoola said "We met them at the Check Point with bloodshed on Ayomide.

"On getting to the hospital, the doctor requested for N50,000 and we call the DPO of Obokun police station and he later came and gave me N30,000 after pleading to pay the doctor for his treatment

"He said, Officer Ayo is currently with the boy at LAUTECH hospital and the four police officers at the checking point were no where to be found.

Popoola called on the State Government and Commissioner of Police to come to their rescue and save the life of the innocent boy, saying their brother must not die
"His mother is currently in bad conditions because of the shock of the attack on his last born(Ayomide), Popoola said.

According to the source, a sum of N70,000 has been expended for his hospital bill.

The source also confirmed that the victim is out of coma and has been transferred to ward.

A source from the police described the incident as unfortunate, saying the officer who perpetrated the act has been arrested and his case would soon be transferred to disciplinary committee for trial.

Yet, the IGP is thinking of a training school instead of a revamp of the force. Unfortunately, there are allegations of corruption around him too.

More of this are still coming, so far Nigeria doesn't have a government...

Imagine, when the Nation's critical issues like this needs Critical Attention and Address, Federal Government was so Gullible increasing Hate Speech Fine from #500,000 to #5Millionaire....

Am just pained so much been that, it is the civilians that are always at the receiving end of this Atrocities perpetrated; I would rather like if it were perpetrated on our Government Parastatals/Officer holders.

If things don't change, a time is coming that we will be assaulting every Police Officer we see on the road. They will be beaten and even shot, mark this day.
