Lol, Mr. Man, it is in your own best interest to support Igbo presidency. The choice is all yours, if you like apply common sense work with the Igbos to ensure we are fully integrated by supporting their quest for presidency. When Igbos believed in Nigeria, the country was making giant strides but when we were sidelined, everything went to the dogs.

Many Igbos are apathetic to the Igbo presidency issue because they've lost interest in Nigeria. If guys are wise, this is an opportunity to make them have a rethink.

Look all around Nigeria and you will see chaos and disorder. We are the glue holding the country together, if you believe that Nigeria will survive 2023 and beyond with another Northerner or even SW in Aso rock then you're deluded.

Nobody is scared of the Igbos. Igbos didn't build bridges but they want to use the ones others build to cross the sea. It would have been possible if they play their game right but they haven't. They have even resorted to blackmail because they would never love to stoop to get what they want.
Even in the advance country, you campaign, beg, cajole and make promises to get the numbers behind you but here, you're creating enemity while at the same time, demanding for support. Who does that? That's akin to telling the people they are dumb and shattered that you can control them into submission. Thta's not who the Yorubas are and I'm sure that's not whom the Northerners are.
You can always punched your SS
Mr man which bridge did you build in 1999 that two Yoruba men one from prison fronted the major party. Which bridge did you build then? Talking about bridge building you will think its something sensible not knowing that they mean Igbos should have pretended and support a collosal failure like Buhari for 2023 ambition. What a way to build bridge, the bridge ushering terrorists all over the world in to Nigeria.

1999 ain't that far away youngman so why the querry? Obasanjo found himself at the primary against an Igbo man and won, all thanks to the friendly hands he extended to the necessary ends. He won the opportunity to represent the party by the ballot. The baton wasn't given to him on a platter of gold, he fought for it at the primary. Fight for your chance at the primary too to test your popularity in any of the party.
The other party was created by the Yorubas and sponsored by most of those who were behind the NADECO agigation, so it was no brainer that the candidates they pushed forward was a Yoruba even though that in itself went through the primary. Remember that this was a year the country returned to democracy so not many party were allowed to form especially as we practised two-party system in the last republic.

So, Obasanjo didn't become the president because all the country agreed it has to go to the Yorubas but because the Yorubas played the politics right to convince others that they were to be voted in.

So, Obasanjo didn't become the president because all the country agreed it has to go to the Yorubas but because the Yorubas played the politics right to convince others that they were to be voted in. Nobody's stopping the Igbos doing the same too. Go to the primary in the two biggest parties, appeal to others why you should be pushed up as the candidate and the job's done. BUT IF YOU THINK APC WILL JUST TELL ORJI TO START PRINTING FLYERS, YOU'RE JOKING!

PS: Building bridges doesn't mean you have to support a particular party or person. We can't all support the same thing; that's why we are humans. We have free wills. But it doesn't also mean you should be creating enmity too. In fact, it means you have to appeal to others as good friend or in other word, good investment. And unfortunately, only investment brings gains. Check politics all over the word, that's exactly how you garner support. You can't keep badmouthing every single people, tackle their progress and expect their support. If you have a problem against a certain person, attack him based on his flaw/misdeed but not his tribe because the support you need will also have to come from his tribe. Perhaps, you have to present to us where in a saner clime politics is played like the Igbos and they have good result.

Ekwueme contesting against OBJ is just to fulfill what the constitution requires in having primary election and prior to that PDP has chosen OBJ as its candidate. I'm not here to argue with you or type long words with you but bookmark this:

If Nigeria is still in existence by 2023 you will beg restructuring and Igbo presidency which might be late by then

And those two are the architects of what ever problem is bedeviling the Igbos in Nigeria in particular and Nigeria in general

1: Azikwe colluded with the Northern power brokers to become ceremonial president when he could have been the Prime Minister if he has agreed to form the govt with AG rather than NPC

The same Azikwe had earlier worked against Awolowo to insert the secession clause in the independence constitution

2: Aguiyi Ironsi Mr Decree 34 ( the decree that abolished the regions and regional government and took all the power to the center in anticipation that Igbos will rule Nigeria forever) and his refusal to promptly try the coup plotters of Jan 15/16 of 1966.

In the event that Nigeria collapse today, the SW is the only region in Nigeria that can quickly start as a new country with minimal disruption to the society, it’s the ONLY REGION in Nigeria with both sea and land borders

Did Ekweme contested? Yes, he did. And Ekweme got votes too but because OBJ has most friends rooting for him, he won. Ekweme didn't leave that ballot with no vote which is to tell you that he had people who wabnted him to win too. So, how's that an agreement?

You forgot things easily. Prior to 2014 primaries, AD never had a Yoruba candidate they could put forward so they decided to merge because they don't want the party to go absent on the ballot for another presidential election if they want to gain the needed popularity. When APC was formed, the candidates that went to the primaries were Atiku, Saraki, Buhari among others. I think Saraki stepped down in the dying minutes as were a couple of others. Buhari was voted in not hanpicked hence the reason why the runner up, Atiku, decided to jump party in order to stand a chance at another polling booth. You should know the rest now.

PS: I'm doing this narative because I realised that you're fed that some certain people were handpicked for the candidacy.

Junaid Mohammed, elder statesman and Second Republic lawmaker, has faulted the claim by another elder Statesman and South-South leader, Chief Edwin Clark, that other Nigerians should drop their presidential ambition and allow the Igbos exclusive right to the Presidency in 2023.

Clark in a statement last weekend had said it was uncalled for and hypocritical for Northern politicians to argue that there was no rotation of power between North and South, as President Muhammdu Buhari presently serving his second term if office, rode to power in 2015 based on the arrangement.

He also asked Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to forgo his rumoured presidential ambition, saying, it was the turn of the South-East zone to produce the next president in 2023.

However, speaking in an interview with Daily Independent, Junaid who described the principle of zoning as a tragedy for Nigeria, said it is unfair for an elder like Chief Clark to be advocating that other Nigerians should be barred from aspiring for the highest office in the land in a democracy.

“Clark should tell us how he came about that. Who told him that and where did he learn his own politics? On what basis is the 2023 presidency their turn? If he says it is their turn, when will Ijaws have their turn? They forget that the Igbos were there when Goodluck Jonathan was handpicked by Obasanjo and made the president.

Is E.K Clark a special prophet of God to know that it is their turn? By the way, if he is saying nobody should contest the election except the Igbos, how come when the election was contested by other people in the past, he did not make any comment? Some of these politicians in this country are such a disgraceful lot. They have no respect for truth and they seem to forget history.

“This is not NDDC we are discussing here, we are talking of presidency from 1999 till date. If you say nobody should contest except the Igbos, when people come out to contest, let him go and tell INEC not to register them or he should go and unleash the terrorists in the Niger Delta to go and shoot everybody who dare to contest or go and join IPOB to start threatening people”.

He also said it will be difficult for other political parties to support Igbos in 2023 as they themselves did not support others in previous elections.

When the Igbos are expecting to have unchallenged race among themselves, how come in previous elections, they did not vote for other parties? They didn’t vote for PDP and they never voted for APC . And now they expect that somebody will now come and vote for them . if you want peoples support, you should also support them.

“But if you don’t support people and you think you can blackmail them into supporting you, let’s see how they will fare. Afterall, EK Clark, Ohanaeze and others are now threatening to sue Buhari , let them go to court and see what happens. Let’s see who will deny those who don’t want Igbo presidency the right to vote.”

I ain't got much time bud. Atiku left PDP when OBJ forced JEG on everybody around 2010 because the two were not on good term. He lost the primary at APC in 2014 and jumped ship again. He couldn't wait for eight years which the appointment of Buhari represented hence the decision to return to the PDP and beg for OBJ's favour.
But, you can always believe all you want to believe if that'll make you better. It ain't changing nothing. Nobody's giving no region the presidency on a platter of gold. If you're up for it, grab it with your popularity.

If APC should make the mistake of fielding SE candidate.. the North and SW will vote massively for PDP.

This might even be a ploy by PDP to reclaim power in 2023, pushing their unmarketable loyalists in SE to drag APC ticket with Tinubu and SW while they go ahead to field a Northern candidate with SS vice (another Yar'adua/Jonathan arrangement).
I trust APC bigwigs not to fall for the cheap blackmail.

If really the likes of Clerk love to see igbo presidency, they should have told them the truth that it is not by threat, intimidation, blackmail, hate, name calling that will come to fruition. Cajoling through political discussion, alliance, friendship, calculations, bridge building, talks, hand stretching etc are the way out.
When apc was formed, hardcore igbo alarmists contested against every igbo man who showed interest in joining the party; we all know how Okorocha became okorohausa. Most igbo even declared the party an Islamist party no real igbo person should associate with. Because of Buhari, A sizeable numbers went as far as saying none should join the party.
Today, the same people who couldn't hide their disdainful behavior against the party and it leadership want that same party and it leadership to hand to them automatically it presidential ticket. They want Buhari and those they call Islamist to trust fully support them without question. Why should Buhari supports them? Why should those they have tagged illiterate almajiri support them?
Understandable if Igbos ask pdp and it supporters /members across the country to support them. But to say apc, Buhari, the illerate almajiri they so much hate with passion must support them is over stepping up their boundary.
Nwodo has already said they have war as their plan b. Let the war begins.

Correct talk. You are totally right about Igbos overstepping their boundaries seeking the support of the APC and everyone they have declared open enmity for.

Yet this is no surprise as Igbos are a patently dishonorable and dishonest people. Who will even vote for an Igbo candidate anyway? The only way an Igbo man will ever be President is if it is only Igbo candidate all the major Parties field. The Igbos know this and that is why they are demanding this scenario.

They have offended all others fundamentally so any Igbo running against even a candidate from the smallest ethnic group in Nigeria will be disgraced at the polls because Nigerians will automatically go for ABI - anyone but Igbo - in a Presidential election.

2023: For a Nigeria that works,

Vote Nnamdi Kanu for President!

proeast:

God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria

“But if you don’t support people and you think you can blackmail them into supporting you, let’s see how they will fare. Afterall, EK Clark, Ohanaeze and others are now threatening to sue Buhari , let them go to court and see what happens. Let’s see who will deny those who don’t want Igbo presidency the right to vote.”

a) 2006: Atiku decamped from the PDP to AC to contest the 2007 Presidential election which later transformed into ACN.

b) 2009: Atiku returned to the PDP to contest against Jonathan for the PDP presidential ticket in 2011.

c) 2014: Atiku decamped again from the PDP to the newly formed APC and contested for the APC presidential ticket. The result was as follow;

1) Buhari
2) Kwankwanso
3) Atiku
4) Okorocha
5) Nda-Isaiah

d) 2017: Atiku again returned to the PDP to contest for the PDP presidential ticket in 2019. The result is as follows;

1) Atiku
2) Tambuwal
3) Saraki
4) Kwankwanso
5) Ahmed Markarfi.

Apawicked:
your memory is failing you. Which party did Atiku join in 2014 after failing against in the primary against Buhari? Atiku didn't go anywhere, he knew Buhari was the candidate for Apc and has no hope of clinching that ticket whatsoever. Atiku never expected to oust Buhari as APC candidate not to talk of defecting to another party to vie for the presidency in 2015. Everybody in APC were ok with Buhari as its candidate

Lol. Mohammed is addressing Igbos and their doomed ambition and this one is hyperventilating shouting Yoruba this and that.

Watch Yoruba man become President in 2023. I will personally escort you into exile in Togo then.

Stop deceiving yourself, yoruba voters have lost more elections than other tribes put together. You don't have the numbers. Quiet!
