The Youth Leader of Lamido Adamawa Emirate, Barr Aliyu Wakili Boya has distributed about ten thousand pieces of face masks, hand sanitizers, budgets, tissues and several others materials to help in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

Boya who was the former Chairman of All Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in the state, through Sarki Matasa Adamawa Foundation has flagged off the distribution of the materials at his Yola Residence.

He said the foundation targeted all the secondary schools in the Central Senatorial District this week, and other schools in the state are to be reached out on a later date.

According to him the personal provision of this protective materials against the spread of covid19 pandemic in all the 21 local government secondary schools across the state are among the beneficiaries of his gesture.

He advised that coronavirus is real and it has now become part of the society not only in Nigeria but in the whole world, calling on people to obey the rules against the virus as the best way to live with it.

"Corona Virus is real and Government at all levels have tried in fighting the scourge, they can't do more than they have done, as you can see locking down the states is not also best, the best is for people to observe the guidelines laid down by Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NDCD).
