The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 290 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 46,867. 5 new deaths were recorded along with 160 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list. The 290 new cases are reported from 16 states- Lagos (82), Plateau (82), Oyo (19), FCT (18), Edo (16), Kaduna (15), Enugu (9), Ogun (9), Kano (  , Kwara (, Cross River (5), Ondo (5), Rivers (5), Ekiti (4), Imo (3) and Borno (2).The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 290 cases were from 16 different states. Lagos State and Plateau State recorded the highest number of cases with 82 each. Oyo State followed with 19 cases. 160 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 33,346 from 33,186.
