Google Pixel 5 Flagship Might Not Have A Flagship Processor by beejayvince(m): 10:47am On Aug 12, 2020
Google launched a smartphone brand known as Pixel some years ago. The tech giant has been working on its Pixel 5 flagship phone for a while now.

Although, most of the smartphone’s features are not clear, they are suggested to be released this autumn.

However, recent details emerging are seriously confusing as regards the product’s specs. This statement is due to the rumored possibility of the smartphone not coming with a flagship processor, regardless of its flagship nature.

AI Benchmark, a processor benchmarking platform, listed the Google Pixel 5 smartphone some time ago.

The listing revealed that the Pixel 5 will not have a flagship processor, which is used in flagship phones as expected. According to information on the site, Google Pixel 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor when it is released.

Tech analysts and reviewers expected the Google Pixel 5 to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 series processor. However, the available listings of the Pixel 5 are confusing, since the processor to be reportedly used is currently available for mid-segment devices. The reason for such a choice is unknown, and the tech giant hasn’t released any comment on such.

Snapdragon 765G processor was announced at the end of last year, with supports for both 5G and high performance gaming. The Pixel 5 will have 5G support, but that doesn’t explain the reason for using mid-segment processors in a flagship phone. The device is rumored to come with 8GB of RAM.

Although, the full features of the phone are left unknown, Google will be announcing the phone in an upcoming event. Hopefully, the phone will be able to impress users.
