Southern Nigeria Economic forum is a platform that offers business people from the southern part of to explore business opportunities together and exchange valuable information that will engender increased business partnership and draw collaborative business relationship from their business counterparts in other region of the country.
One of the highlights of the forum will be to ensure that economic activities translates into job creation, poverty reduction, lowering inequality, strengthening business institutions and scaling up investors for investment that will deliver sustainable growth and development within the southern region.
The Southern Nigeria Economic forum is developed for the purpose of restoring economic growth while leveraging the ingenuity and resilience of the Southern people of Nigerian –the nation’s most priceless assets. It is also articulated with the understanding that the role of government in the 21st century must evolve from that of being an omnibus provider of citizens’ needs into a force for eliminating the bottlenecks that impede innovation and market-based solutions. The Southern Nigeria Economic forum will also recognize the need to leverage Technology and Innovation and build a knowledge-based economy.
Globe Chamber of Commerce Port Harcourt will play host to the Southern Nigeria Economic Forum. Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Port Harcourt is an independent, non-political and non-profit global organization dedicated to fostering international trade, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The GCCI Port Harcourt organizes initiatives and events targeted at furthering international and domestic business. The GCCI develops partnership and acts as a liaison between international and local businesses, supporting efforts from embassies, consulates, multilateral organizations, bi-national chambers of commerce, and promoting global commerce, economic, cultural and socio-economic exchange.
Restoring Nigeria economic growth and laying the foundation for long-term development requires a dynamic private sector that can innovate and respond to global opportunities.
