How often can your body size save you from a tragedy?

Well, in an odd news coming from the People Republic of China, a 28-year-old overweight man was wedged by his big belly from falling into his family well.

The incident which took place on August 7, in Fuliudian Village, Baiyuan Town, Yichuan County, Henan Province, was reported by Yichuan County fire department.

It was reported that the man slipped and fell into the well when his parents were making an attempt at blocking the dry well.

He, however, got stucked at the mouth of the well because of his big belly, said the firefighters.

In the video from the report, the man who remained calm throughout the rescue operation, was pulled out by a joint effort between the Fuliudian villagers and the fighters.

In the process of the rescue, a rope was wrapped around the man's body, then a "double waist knot" was tied behind him, and a rescue belt around his chest.

The firefighters said the man was not injured during the rescue operation, "except for some abrasions of his pants."

According to the report, the man surnamed Liu is said to be mentally ill and weigh up to 250kg.
