A group of stranded Nigerian students met with the Nigerian government to express their frustrations in the South African lock down since March 27th 2020 and thankfully, the Nigerian government has made the efforts to evacuate them from the country. However, each student was given a very short notice to pay N 400, 000 to air peace in just about 24 hours otherwise, they will not be considered for the evacuation scheduled for next week Thursday.

We are calling on the Nigerian government to consider her helpless children and subsidise the cost of the flight and if possible, extend the payment date as the given notice is too short.

Attached is a letter from the Nigerian Consulate to Nigerian students stranded in South Africa as well as other deserted Nigerians.
