It's not by land mass, southeast is not doing badly they have their economy in their hand, do you know that southeast have two airports that are 4th and 6th in terms of air traffic(passenger), after Lagos, Abuja and PH, been 1st, 2nd, 3rd , Owerri airport is 4th while Enugu is 6th, so where is Niger State, Yobe State , Ondo State, Kaduna State or Oyo State The answer is on the FAAN website, A region that is less than a state in land mass outperforming big for nothing so called state. Is a shame, let's even look at this closely, it mean that Oyo State should have two airports, likewise Yobe, Kaduna,, Kano and Niger State, shame on you guys and your big for nothing states
