Widgets are important aspect of system operation, designated to home screen customization, based on user's preference. You can choose their position, rearrange It's contents, remove or add to it, resize etc.

Widgets are of different types, the most common if which are;

1. Information Widgets : This type of widgets carries essential information which are of importance to the users knowledge to keep track of. This includes clock widgets,weather widgets, betting widgets etc.

2. Collection Widgets: This type of widget carries multiple information. Of similarly grouped elements. This includes things like gallery app collections, social media apps, gaming apps, electronic news app articles, etc

Control Widgets : This type do widget focuses more on functionality of targeted apps that can be accessed, without necessarily opening the said app itself. This includes music apps that allows play, pause, next/previous. Another example of control widget is a search widget offered by some browsers, file managers etc..

4. Hybrid widget : This type of widget is more ov fixed origin, combining the benefits of separate functionalities into one.

All of which when clicked on, presents you with specific functionalities based on it's type/purpose. To access some of the available widgets on your phone, long press on an empty space of your home screen > click on widgets from the list of vertically presented options and scroll through the list of available widgets present on your device based on types/apps/purpose. A click on any adds it to your home screen, which you can further long press on the widget itself to either change its position by dragging it to the preferred location across your screen, provided it supports such.

I use to use widget before,but I started hating some because some are not transparent. I like transparent background.
