It's very easy for anyone to publicly declare their support for the bill and get elected and then come out to tell the masses that he/she have carefully gone through the bill and that the bill needs to be reviewed and that they will have to understudy the bill to enable it's review faster and will use 8yrs trying to review the bill....

You can never trust our politicians....They will promise you heaven on earth to get to power and will eventually shut their doors against you after grasping the power.

How do you enforce this law? One law is not going to correct this country. It’s going to take more than making laws to fix Nigeria. We need to advocate for Nigeria to be a united state like the United state of America. It’s going to be the African’s U.S. that’s Restructuring, so that there will be more resources and each state can make their own laws and there will be lesser power in the central which is the main problem we tend to look at the reps and senate like they are our only problem but they are, not our governors are even bigger problems. Senators receive their salary, Governors probably earn more than senators and they are the one that embezzle our resources and allocations and then go into senate as retirement while still receiving salaries as former governors but we blame them at the senate when it’s already too late. Do you know some When everything boils down to every states on its own we will hold our governors responsible for their incapabilities. While we blame the presidents and senates let us not forget the people in charge of our state resources and allocation.

You have very valid points there.

I see the way forward for this bill is changing our Representatives and Senators who will pass the bill. Cause from what I see, the current crop of those representing us won't pass such.
Personally, my representative might pass this but my Senator(devil's incarnate) he won't, not surprising since he got there by a court order against the wishes of the people. Nigeria!

Also I found out most Nigerians won't support this bill, they see corruption as part of the Country's heritage (is it a proud one?) already. They see people like us talking about this bill as youthful radicals
