NCDC Records 298 New Cases As Total Cases Exceed 49,000 by Newsbreakers: 8:54am On Aug 17, 2020
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 298 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 49,068. One new death was recorded along with 207 recoveries. Plateau State topped the list.

The 298 new cases are reported from 16 states- Plateau (108), Kaduna (49), Lagos (47), Ogun (18), Osun (17), FCT (15), Ondo (14), Edo (cool, Oyo (6), Akwa Ibom (4), Cross River (4), Borno (3), Ekiti (2), Bauchi (1), Kano (1) and Rivers (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 298 cases were from 16 different states. Plateau State recorded the highest number of cases with 108. Kaduna State followed with 49 cases while Lagos State had 47 Cases. 207 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 36,497 from 36,290. One new death was recorded. Find the breakdown below.
