[b]WAEC has been in existence since before many of us were born but the test format and test procedure has not evolved since the 90s at the very least.

I stand to be corrected but As of August 18, 2020, WAEC has not figured out a way to host a web or online based testing. Even in the middle of a highly contagious pandemic, students are still required to come into class in order to take their test.

Last night, I did a quick maths; if 100,000 students take WAEC in Nigeria annually and pay an examination fee of 10,000N, that is a minimum of 1 billion generated from Nigeria alone.
So, a rough estimate will Tell you that WAEC as an institution generates upwards of 8 billion naira in revenue every year.

It is incredibly insane to think or even imagine that both testing bodies do not have the capability for students to test online. However, that is the unfortunate reality on ground.

There are so many third party testing centers that have built the skill and expertise for online testing/assessment and my recommendation to these two agencies is to partner with one or two of the test centers.....

cos almost every post utme in any university requires a scratch during the physical screening
to verify ones result
and a scratch card goes for 1k-3k depending on demand
so just imagine
some people use two waec results
some use both waec and neco to complement each other

Online exam is the next upgrade.

Educational Institutions are not money making ventures. The cash inflow should be pumped back into the system.
