Bro... I had to read twice ... thought I missed something. PDP and APC fighting in public to eat our food .... and here we are fussing over unfair sharing. As long as our eyes remain blinded by party politics, tribalism and religion we will be screwed for generations to come.

On this particular issue I feel the lawmakers should are right. Reason is, the job is open for a thousand applicants from each local government. Now lawmakers were elected by people in these local government and as well should be given enough slots for people he respresents. This recruitment shouldn't have anything like partiality in it because it's meant to cut across every local government in Nigeria.
No,they r wrong, the 970 jobs is meant for the pple they r representing and the 30 given to them is for their loyalist or pple who are close to them.

What a country!
The slots will eventually be given to people who can't do them but will just collect salary at the end of month just like npower.

Why giving out slot in the first place? they use for political intrest and to score political point..
Cant we ever have a level playing ground in nigeria...Where merit will be criteria...Cant we? who did we offend?

“The 30 persons allotment per local government for lawmakers is grossly unfair, inadequate and unacceptable to Nigerians. As the representatives of the people, we are closer to them and they directly interact with us, irrespective of religion, class and political affiliations.

UNFAIR, INADEQUATE AND UNACCEPTABLE TO NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS KILL U ALL

Well, transparency is key. Outside the 30, what happens to the remaining slots?

They were voted to make laws not scramble for jobs.

Chai! Just 3 months low paying job is what nigeria lawbreakers abi lawmakers are fighting for. With my certificate I'm at home doing nothing, while some of them with forged certificates are earning millions every month, but still have the guts to fight for 20k - 30k job.

The slots should go to councilors and local government chairmen or traditional rulers who are very close to the people.
They should not give anything to those useless lawmakers who will give the slots to their girl friends and political thugs.

They were not even supposed to be given any slot,it’s meant for the downtrodden in the communities and not constituencies nonsense.
