*MIMIKO DOES NOT HAVE MORAL RECTITUDE TO JUDGE GOV. AKEREDOLU LEAD GOVERNMENT- CONCERNED CITIZEN*

It is quite disheartening to hear and read  the immediate past governor of Ondo state, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko trolls at Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, over the health sector he left in comatose. He should not forget that his eight(cool years was in saddle, the people of Ondo state suffered great decadence in every sector, including, the health which ought to have been given adequate and sincere attention for obvious fact that it is his profession, but we did get his best. No, we did not!

How can Mimiko, therefore mutter courage and confidence to accuse Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN with uncharitable labelling. A man who left the civil servants to wallow in abject poverty and penury, over unpaid salaries and allowances for seven (7)months and more..? Mimiko was quoted to have called Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN "unprogressive". This is incredibly sad! gut

Between Mimiko who owe workers Seven months and Akeredolu who offset an accumulated debt even with a thin purse he inherited, who is unprogressive?
Let us not also forget, the said health sector, in 2017, members of the National Association of Government and General Medical practitioners in Ondo State embarked on industrial strike for morethan six months. Protesting against unpaid salaries, poor medical facilities and failed equipments purchased through unprofessional contractors. Until the emergence of Governor Akeredolu who Mimiko called unprogressive, a legal practitioner per se, saw the need for upgrade in the Medical sector. He paid off all accumulated debt, acquired medical facilities worth billions of Naira, rolled out employment opportunities for medical practitioners, upgraded the state general Hospital in Akure to A Teaching Hospital to accommodate medical Students from University of Medical Science Ondo and afterward, increased the number of Mother and Child Hospital from one which only existed in the Central Senatorial District to 5 which now spread across all the Senatorial districts of the State with free medical service for pregnant women and U-5 children.

I ask, again, who is unprogressive?

Now let us ask Mimiko, what legacy could be remembered of him after spending uninterrupted years as the governor of Ondo State for 8years. Some would say he invested in road construction, no doubt but that would have been applaudable if it were extended to all the nook and cranny of Ondo state like Gov. Akeredolu is doing. The people of Ikare Akoko would always be grateful to Akeredolu led government for leveling the dreaded Oke-Alagbojuto hill and construction of double lane on that abandoned site.

How about the first of its kind in Ondo State, the “Redemption Bridge” at Ore? The more reason why Mr. President, Mohammadu Buhari came in person to commission and also visited the industrial hub amidst other remarkable projects within the state.

Other innovative and brilliant work of Gov. Akeredolu are: 405.05KMs of road constructed in less than four years, Gov. Akeredolu is said to be the highest Governor in terms of road construction in the history of Ondo State in less than 4years. So far he has embarked on numerous lucrative but unprecedented projects for the benefit of the state and its citizens.
Mimiko’s wailing cannot make us forget how he deserted and turned our state into wilderness, especially the horrible activities in our universities, including OSUSTECH that was totally abandoned before Governor Akeredolu came onboard and resuscitated the facility yet here is Mimiko calling Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN "unprogressive" is unsavoury, wicked & unconscionable . He should not forget that we were aware of the flamboyant lifestyle he lived with his cohorts in charge of the university while the school run on two-hour power supply on daily basis to the detriment of students and staff.

As a matter of fact, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko does not have any moral right to judge Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led government.  I will choose Governor Akeredolu over Mimiko a thousand times. His giant strides speak volume. Indeed a progressive leader has emerged, we have found an enigma in leadership. Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN is not the man to beat.
