@Fredrick Nwabufo your position on Bishop Oyedepo's opposition to the new CAMA law is one sided. The truth is that when the Church have a venture, it can be subjected to public scrutiny, you in fact gave example of UK where MFM and Covenant Churches were investigated by Government. Now, Nigeria is unique and not UK and not all the thing in UK are good anyway.

The aspect that is giving us most worry as Christians is not about the Finance anyway but about the way it will empower government to meddle in the running of the Church. How do we explain a situation where a Muslim President like GMB appointing a Muslim Minister to supervise the affairs of the Church and vice-versa? Are we unaware of the extent of religious intolerance in this country or how did we come about the Boko Haram Crisis that has ravaged us this many years without solution?

The unfortunate thing about this country is that we have so many people pretending to be what they are not. One thing we know this law will breed is, CRISIS. Yes, because Muslims will never allow Christians to supervise the affairs of their mosque neither will Christians accept same. There is mutual suspicion even among different denominations/sect not to talk about entire different religions. Forget about the political deceit that says we are serving the same God.

My candid opinion is that Mr. President should revert this obnoxious law and expunge the aspect that has to do with religious organization because we are unlikely to be able to manage the crisis it is capable of generating.
