To drive his resolve to rejig the security architecture in the country & deliver a more effective policing, Mr. President has approved the sum of 13 billion naira for the take-off of Community Policing in the country.

At today's National Economic Council (NEC) meeting presided by Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President asked Governors, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Finance Minister and the Inspectator-General of Police (IGP) to work out modalities on how the funds would be well utilized to ensure an effective implementation of Community Policing in Nigeria, and then report back to NEC.

Specifically, the Governors would be represented at this consultations by the Nigeria Governors' forum Chairman and two others. There's no relenting in effort to secure lives and property across Nigeria.

Those who will loot it will be licking their lips and smiling right now until they will develop pink lips. Their dance steps this week will be superb cos they will police the whole monies in their bank accounts. Many years from now, even boys scout members you won't find in your communities, talkless of community police.

True though. Else it will be a similar pattern like we have had with other institutions and the expected purpose will be defeated.

This is a very good development.

Let us explain this in lay man's term.....

Community policing gives citizens more control over the quality of life in their community.
Community policing means police become part of the neighborhood.
This helps police get a better sense of resident's needs and helps residents to develop greater trust in the police.

To a new and better Nigeria we go.

God bless our darling Daddy President Muhammadu Buhari and his amiable Vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo for all they are doing to make our once battered and looted country work again.

Nigeria will be great again in our lifetime.
God bless Nigeria.

We Rise!

Just wait for Children of Hate to disagree with the approval as they don't want security challenges in the country to stop.

Anything to discredit Buhari is a bae to them..

If you understand what community policing is and then juxtapose it with the nature, vastness and challenges of this country, you'd immediately see how these funds were approved "for the boys" to buy suya.

Half of the money will be used to propose a policy and the rest will disappear based on logistics grin grin
Don't expect to see anything tangible on ground based on this payout. cool

What's tha business?

How much of the proposed 13 billion will then go to the Fulani herdsmen terrorists who have vowed to set up theirs own security architecture all over the country ? In fact, no need to answer that question cool
