Palace not burnt, Ooni allays fears, says minor fire incident was put off

The historic Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, was not burnt, the spokesperson for the royal family has said.

In a statement made available to Irohinoodua,Director of Media and Public Affairs,Ooni's Palace, Moses Olafare,
said that a minor fire outbreak involving a tiny part of one of the administrative buildings within the premises of the palace occurred at about 1:15pm today, Wednesday 19th, August 2020, leaving no harm to the oldest palace in Yoruba land. https://www.irohinodua.org/palace-not-burnt…dent-was-put-off/
