How To Answer Common Scholarship Interview Questions by CHIJIOKE1994(m): 2:39pm On Aug 21, 2020
How to answer common scholarship interview questions, If you have applied to a scholarship or scholarships you may be invited to an interview.

To be able to answer these questions, you have to understand what the scholarship is about, you have to show the provider of the scholarship that you are deserving of the scholarship and what makes you a good candidate for this scholarship.

In this article you will be shown how to answer most interview questions.

common interview questions:
1. Tell me about yourself?

This is usually an introductory question in a scholarship interview. When responding to this question, you have to tell them your goals both long term and short term goals.

Tell them about your plans academically, what you accomplished, what you are currently doing. This is important because what you do shows who you are and what you are interested in.

Rehearse and plan out what to say before going for the interview, make your reply quick and interesting, do not waste time telling them about what's on your application because they already know that, rather focus on telling them what makes you different from other applicants.

2.What are your strengths and weaknesses?

The purpose for asking this question is to know if you are a self - aware person.

When asked about your strength resist the urge to present yourself as too humble or only talking about your positive attributes, back up your reply with a good story or examples so that it doesn't sound like you are talking yourself up.

When you are talking about your weakness, do not only focus on your weakness, talk about what you have done to improve. While doing this, make sure you avoid bragging, none is perfect and your interviewer knows this so try and be specific and give examples.

3. Tell us about a mistake you've made:

Like talking about your weaknesses, it is expected that you talk about the efforts you've made to learn from your mistakes, make them know that you are not stuck in the past and you are ready to move on. Back your answers up with a story and be specific.

4. What activities are you involved in?

This question is asked to tell them what you do with your time outside study. This is an opportunity to show how willing you are to work with people, your work ethic and involvement in groups Don't forget to mention activities that are related to the scholarship if any.
