From Osinbajo To His Ex Aide by Kakaakinews: 11:47pm On Aug 21, 2020 |
By Ahmed Burba It is important to state in clear terms that the Office of The Vice President sacked Donald Wokoma, an aide to Prof Yemi Osinbajo years before the Justice Ayo Salami-led Presidential Investigative Committee started investigating the former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu. According to a piece published on August 20, 2020 by Daily Post, the Salami panel alleged that Wokoma did not execute some contracts awarded to his companies. The piece titled, ‘Salami panel: How Osinbajo’s ex-aide allegedly collected N250m without executing contracts’. The correctness of the report by Daily Post is something to doubt considering the fact that the medium has been recently been in the vanguard of fake news and platforms crusading a campaign of calumny against the person of Osinbajo. The solid fact remains that Wokoma was disengaged during the first term of the Vice President. When the matter came up, the Vice president was extremely helpful in ensuring that Wokoma was properly investigated and no preferential treatment of any kind was requested for him. It was also learnt that the money was impounded and eventually forfeited. On a most serious note, it looks like all hope is gone with nailing the Vice President with allegations and they have quickly moved on to his ex aides. It is becoming more apparent each day the deliberate act to bring down the vice president's reputation. Recall that some media houses including Vanguard Newspapers, BusinessDay Newspapers, Daily Sun Newspapers, and BBC recently apologised to the vice president over fabricated and falsified news stories. Rather than carry on with this fruitless venture, it will be nice that we focus as a nation on more important issues at hand instead of distracting the whole country with allegations of someone's ex aide that has been investigated and properly dealt with. People should stop taking advantage of the general public who do not necessarily follow the news or have details about certain issues. After several attacks on the VP were flawed with facts and statistics it is time to start looking around his ex aides, we will not be surprised if they come up with an ex-student of his later on. I strongly suggest everyone to desist from the agents of political mischief for the benefit of all of us

OP's headline is lame but the real truth about this matter is when the matter came, the VP didn't obstruct but rather ensure the law take it course. He was disengaged and the money was impounded. Osinbajo has been an upright Incorruptible man since his days as a lecturer. Let no one fools you otherwise. 1 Like 1 Share |

These people are just trying all means to pull Osinbajo down by castigating lies and propaganda against his good reputation but God is above them all |

I will not be surprised if Osinbajo succeed Buhari stress free in 2023. Those that are desperate for the position are promoting him unknowingly. It's now clear to Nigerians that this man is even more honest than we thought. |

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has proven his worth time without number. He never interfered with the investigation of his former aide, he sacked him after the end of the investigation and the money in question taken back from him 1 Like 1 Share |

TheRareGem1:In their quest to nail the VP by all means, they will ignore the bolded and rejoice because the VP's name is mentioned. The more they search for a means to tarnish Osinbajo's image the more they will be disgraced. |
