VICTORIES FROM ONDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION, “MOANING” OF A RAPIST - Babatunde Alli, Governorship Candidate of the PRP.

The Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Babatunde Alli this morning describes the euphoria that may envelope purported winners of the Local Government Election of Ondo State as mere “moaning” of rapists.

Asked for his view about the chances of other participating political parties in the Election, Babatunde, whose growing grassroots popularity have recently worried known gladiators, queried why any people-oriented political party can participate in such a kangaroo election. “The APC government simply need foot soldiers for the coming governorship election and nothing more. Sunshiners should not allow this rapist of a government to impregnate the state again with “a government of the FATHER, by the WIFE and for the CHILDREN”, he added.

He challenged anybody to provide evidence that Local Governments, which supposed to be the nearest to the grassroots, exist in Ondo State. “Can you maintain that Local Governments exist when students of Primary Schools can’t tell the name of their LGA Chairmen?” Babatunde queried.

Recounting the events leading to the suit filed against the election at the High Court, the PRP Candidate narrated how his party wrote ODIEC, the State electoral umpire, to request for the notice of election that was announced on 28th July, 2020. According to him, ODIEC replied the letter by advising his party, to seek clarifications from the state chapter of Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC), a mere association of willing Political Parties. “This is how impugn the agencies of this administration are towards the simplest views of our people” He said. It will be recalled that PRP, on Thursday 20th August 2020, challenged the legality of the Local Government Election at the State High Court.

Babatunde described the activities leading to the purported LGA election as “pre-arranged to help achieve selfish political interests. As to the victories the APC will announce through ODIEC, Babatunde said; “Let them ‘moan’ in shameful euphoria, that is what rapist do, but we shall heal from their social bruises. Ondo State will triumph at last”.

He assured well-meaning Sunshiners that processes leading to proper grassroots representation shall be activated as soon as he assumes office as Governor of Ondo State. “We shall give our people true community based governance where representations shall not be on political party basis, but community based. Community Development Associations (CDAs) at Ward levels, shall be an integral part of our government and we shall through it, redress the injustices and rottenness in the Local Government administration of the State”.

In his characteristic manner, he concluded by praying for the state; “Won o ni jewa m’aye o”
