God’s words are reliable and soothing, and a manual for life. If you truly want to make the most of your life you have to rely solely on the words from the mouth of God. Today, I bring to you God’s Word in the second edition of this month’s series Single and Satisfied, I will be teaching on the subject: How to Live a Single and Satisfied Life.

As a single, find your happiness, visions, dreams and purpose before marriage. Marriage is only but a plus to you when you have other aspects of your life organized and planned out. Marriage will enable you to enhance all you have built over the years. Although marriage enhances happiness, and relief in certain areas of life; however, on the same note, it increases distractions because you will be responsible for the other person by trying to help someone else grow, develop and improve.

So, these following tips can enable you to live a single and satisfied life while waiting in preparation for marriage:

Connect with God

As a single, it is pertinent you seek to connect with God. You need God the most in your single days and also in marriage, if you are able to connect with God as a single; then it will be easier for you to connect with Him as a married person. Spirituality is the greatest asset you can gain as a single; you can deeply connect with God, know Him for yourself, discover who He is to you and establish a lasting relationship with Him. The Bible reiterated in 1 Corinthians 7:35, that your single days are the days of undivided attention and devotion to God and His work. Consequently, devote yourself to God by constantly reading, studying and worshipping God knowing that this is the most viable time you have for Him.

Connect with Friends

Being single does not mean you should be lonely. Loneliness leads to anxiety, nervousness, depression, anger, and many other vices that is associate with it. Seek godly relationships and friendships whereby you share knowledge, understanding, counsel and grant each other companionship. Be kind, approachable, friendly and with the right disposition at all times; remember, no man is an island, when you chase people away from you, you may end up being miserable but this will not be your portion, in Jesus name! You cannot marry your enemy, but you will marry amongst your friends; so, if you do not make friends there is no way you can...
