Paris St-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel says Lionel Messi is "very welcome" at the club - but expects the forward to remain at Barcelona.

Tuchel's French champions lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in a tightly contested Champions League final on Sunday.

"What coach says no to Messi?" Tuchel told BT Sport. "I think Messi finishes his career in Barcelona. He is Mr Barcelona."

It is thought Messi, 33, has never been closer to leaving the Nou Camp.

The Spanish giants' season ended in a humiliating 8-2 Champions League quarter-final defeat by Bayern.

Messi is Barcelona's all-time top scorer with 634 goals in 731 games and has won four Champions Leagues, 10 La Liga titles and six Ballons d'Or.

Qatari-owned PSG are among the few clubs in world football with the financial capacity to meet his buyout clause of 700m euros (£627.96m).

"We decided not to talk about transfers in this period," said Tuchel. "We will sit together in the next days. We have many things to do to keep the level of the squad."

PSG have won the Ligue 1 title in seven of the past eight seasons, but it is in Europe's elite competition where owners Qatar Sports Investments measure success.

They had not previously gone further than the quarter-finals of the Champions League since their takeover in 2011 - despite spending a combined 402m euros (£362m) on forwards Neymar and Kylian Mbappe alone.

Neither Mbappe nor Neymar were able to find a way past Bayern, but Tuchel said he was "proud" of the Brazilian for playing "a match with an incredible capacity" - adding it was "a miracle" Mbappe was available at all following an ankle injury.

Speaking on PSG's plans for the summer transfer window, Tuchel added: "We lost lots of players for this campaign and we lose now Thiago Silva and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting [who are out of contract].

"We need to use the transfer window now to make the squad wider. The campaign will be very demanding without any breaks. We need to build a strong, strong squad."

PSG play their first game of the new Ligue 1 season against Lens on Saturday, after the French top flight made its return on Friday - 167 days after the 2019-20 campaign ended early because of the coronavirus pandemic.

PSG boss, Mr Tuchel who uses support to walk, training boys on how to run, dribble, score, cross and accelerate with the ball. How does he manage to do this? It's like a case of a blind man teaching people how to use their sights.

Messi isn't Mr. Barcelona, he's Mr. Football.
If Messi advises you on any football matter, don't ask Ronaldo, he won't have an idea.

Barcelona with messi is coming back to thier wining ways
All we need to do is over haul that shitty defence

Leave Suarez on the bench because he is behaving like an actor on the pitch instead of him to be serious...how can a grown up Moda fuckkker like Suarez be rolling and falling on the pitch for every little touch...then we sell greizmann...he can't fit into our style of game
And for all those fake asss niggarrrs that keep on saying Messi should leave Barcelona to another club to show he is really good

As a real niggarrr.....i keep on telling those fake asss niggarrrs to tell their mother to get pregnant for another man to show she is really fertile.....

Because Messi single handedly conquered all clubs already...he don fuckkk every club...both EPL club, bundesliga, seria A....so i don't know what fake asss niggarrrs still want

True love is a different story. When it happens, individuals usually feel in touch with each other’s core identity. Embarking on such a relationship is frightening precisely because we feel there is no place to hide. We are known. All the ecstasy that we feel emerges as this love nurtures us and challenges us to grow and transform. Describing true love, Eric Butterworth writes: “True love is a peculiar kind of insight through which we see the wholeness which the person is – at the same time totally accepting the level on which he now expresses himself – without any delusion that the potential is a present reality. True love accepts the person who now is without qualifications, but with a sincere and unwavering commitment to help him achieve his goals of self-unfoldment – which we may see better than he does.” Most of the time, we think that love means just accepting the other person as they are. Who among us has not learned the hard way that we cannot change someone, mold them and make them into the ideal beloved we might want them to be. Yet when we commit to true love, we are committed to being changed, to being acted upon by the beloved in a way that enables us to be more fully self-actualised. This commitment to change is chosen. It happens by mutual agreement. Again and again in conversations the most common vision of true love I have heard shared was one that declared it to be “unconditional.” True love is unconditional, but to truly flourish it requires an ongoing commitment to constructive struggle and change.

I 8-2 say this, but that PSG coach's wicked.

How can you say Messi is Mr barca? So it was only Messi that bayern fed 8 - 2. You guys should just allow this dude to rest, he is having a running stomach already.

To me, coutinho's the Mr barca. The only man to win 3 trophies alone in barca sqaud this season, when others were trophy-less.

Qoute; even though all that glitters may not be gold, always follow your instinct, who knows it may lead you to your success. Remember coutinho who left Liverpool for barca in search of champions league, only for Liverpool to win it that season, not without beating coutinho's barca.

Tribulations pushed him out of barca as a rejected one. He landed in bayern Munich, only to win the trophy the following season with other two trophies. This means he win 7 trophies under 2½ years.

Lessons: don't ever look back to regrets. Always push ahead, you might just be a step before your success. Who knows if Liverpool would not have won the champions league had coutinho no leave.

This issue of taunting Messi every now and then by Thomas Tuchel is an advance way of informing the PSG owners to get him at all cost... On the other hand, I feel Messi has done all what is necessary for him to do at Barcelona and needs to take a bow at this point in time, I hate seeing him depressed because all blames and woes going on in Barca are usually diverted to him alone, it really painful.....It's obvious he won't renew his contract next summer and the best thing for Barcelona is to let him go while they focus on rebuilding the club, unless that mentality of "Give the ball to Messi" won't be eradicated "He is irreplaceable no matter what".... We the fans should exercise patience with the new squad because it will always go worst before it gets better.....

Someone in that Barca board needs to stand up and propose a quick and immediate conclusion to all these back and forths over Messi. Is he staying? Then let the coach start his plans for the new season, is he leaving? Then what's the plan for replacing him and building the new team. But the further they drag this out, the further they're dragging the club into a downward spiral. I respect Messi a lot but Barcelona is supposed to be a football club not a Messi club.

The coach and Messi have had their conversation and wateva has been agreed has been relayed to the board. No one is dragging any issue but the media.

Messi should go to Mancity rather. A Mancitilated Messi will win the Champions League faster than a Ronaldoted Juve in my opinion.

Nigerians can't see beyond their noses.
There is a wider conspiracy going on and people are slow to catch on.
I have been following political trends since 2016

* Elections are suddenly becoming inconclusive prompting reruns which are always won by the incumbent party.
* Lop sided political appointments favouring a particular section of the country at the detriment of others.
* Laws which take away the liberties of the citizenry are being passed on a daily.
* Some government officials are now above the law and they are not afraid to show it.
* There is a glaring vacuum of power at the top, the candidate voted for by the citizens is clearly not in charge of the situation.
* Government of the day is very averse to criticism.
Nigeria and the Chinese government suddenly became best of friends which coincided with the sudden change in government relations with the citizens.
* And so many other things time will not permit me to write.

China is teaching Nigerian government how to implement communism.
They want the most populous black country on earth to lean away from western styled democracy and become a one party state like China.
Nigerian leaders have no issues following Chinese communist-driven directives because if successful, it will only further consolidate the running of the affairs of the nation in the hands of the privileged few at the top of the food chain.

Guess it is time to start learning Chinese.
