Amb. Hussaini Coomassie Speaks On Nigeria's Economy Decline

Calls For replacement of Yewande Sadiku

Famous Nigeria human rights activist and Continental Coordinator, Advocacy for Good Governance Network who also doubles as the Deputy National Coordinator, North & Diaspora,
Buhari Campaign Organization has called for the immediate replacement of
Yewande Sadiku who has been Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, Nigeria's foremost investment promotion agency, since November 2016.

Amb. Coomassie made this known in a written statement made available to Okrote'sBlog in Abuja. According to him,

"Nigeria’s economy has declined by 6.1 per cent in the second quarter of 2020 from a year earlier, with lock downs in its two main cities and low oil prices taking their toll.

"The West African country – Africa’s largest economy and the continent’s top oil producer – reported its first coronavirus (COVID-19) case in late February. Lock downs were imposed for just over a month in the commercial hub Lagos and the capital Abuja, ending in early May.

"The decline was largely attributable to significantly lower levels of both domestic and international economic activity during the quarter, which resulted from nationwide shutdown efforts aimed at containing the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Some Chief Executives should be held responsible for their incompetence in running their offices, a case in point, *Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission has NOT in the last 4 years been able to attract single foreign investment despite the humongous financial expenditure.* Federal government must act now.

"We can't fold our arms and watch Yewande Sadiku of NIPC return us to Egypt, we must get to our destination in-sha ALLAH. The woman simply lacks administrative qualities, the presidency should as a matter of urgency, replace that woman with more competent administrator. We risked our lives and spent our hard earned resources to return this government to power, so therefore we can't allow some careless individuals frustrate our collective efforts please," Coomassie warned.
