Following the clash between security operatives and Biafra agitators which resulted in the killing of many in Enugu State, an Igbo sociocultural group, Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has constituted panel of Inquiry to independently ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death of 21 persons suspected to be Igbo youths. A judicial panel of inquiry set up by either the state or federal government is required to quickly douse this growing tension. I know Buhari does not think this will affect Nigeria, but in the end it will. There are already talk of revenge against fulanis who are the tribes of those soldiers that did the massacre. We know in Nigeria once one ethnic group is killed, there is retaliatory killing in other parts of Nigeria which will lead to even more violence. A judicial panel of inquiry in needed as this point to give some type of justice to those who were killed and punish those who escalated a minor situation that tear gas or arrests could have solved instead of opening fire on a bunch of unarmed civilians. Those who think this issue will merely go away are mistaken. |

I was expecting Governor Ugwuanyi to constitute an independent commission of enquiry to find out what happened in Emene because a lot of people in Enugu are really not happy about the killings. |
