Several things we do conspire to keep us poor. The earlier they are stopped the better for your financial wellbeing. If you really want to get started here are actions you have to avoid or minimize to the barest;

Impulse Buying: How many times have you come across desirable items and opened your wallet without thinking. All that occurs to you is that you must have it. Plan to buy and then buy only what you plan and really need. Most of the things we buy we do not really need. Keeping track of your purchases will give you a better picture of your financial expenses at each month end.

Concentrating all Your Energy on Cutting Expenses: This may sound a bit ironic given the advice above. The wisdom here is that once you stabilize your expenses you are better off pursuing ways to increase your income than huddling over a sheet of paper everyday and trying to get your expenses reduced more and more. Most times it is easier to explore ways of increasing your income maybe adding another stream of income to the existing one(s).

Failing To Pay God: This is not a christian matter. Personally some years back I never attached much importance to giving back to God (one tenth). It is an action you can decide not to take but when you actually follow it brings a little more bit of luck in your endeavours and career. And everybody needs luck, don’t we.

Overlooking to Pay Yourself: As much as you should give to charity it is crucially important that you pay yourself first before even your creditors. Set aside 10 to 15% and have it packed in an investment account from where you make investments as you deem fit.

These tips are simple and most probably what you have known already but implementing them successfully will improve your financial well being and that of course is not so easy. Can you get started today?
