The issue isn't even the amount being paid but the nature of the job. I wanted to apply but I thought the job was for those without certificate.

Not only you, my friend with a PhD in African Languages is teaching in a private secondary school in Osun State. And I have another one with a B.A who earns over 1.2 million per month. I am very serious!

How can they say someone with PhD, MSc can't apply. What they dont know is that some have support to go that high in education but has never been in the workforce. I have 2 friends that have MSc but has never been employed, one has support from what their mum left for them, he was just struggling to finish. While the other got married and the wife assisted him to get his degree.

Let's look at it this way, will some1 with these degree and earning high income want a job of N20k? I dnt think so. No one reasonable human would try it. How can you risk Ur high paying job for a low income job.

Another reason why most higher cert owner are unemployed is becos when they apply for jobs below their grade, the employer wot take them cos they will feel they are under paying them and any small issue the employee will always want to tell them how qualified they are in our Nigerian way ( na condition make crayfish bend).

Government should pls give them a chance too.

I FRANKLY don't have a PROBLEM giving lawmakers SLOTS, but to extend it to CSO, churches, and making it a habitual is a what I don't LIKE.
high paying positions will also be ALLOCATED to lawmakers. then the NEWS that positions in CBN,FIRS, NNPC, NLNG were been slotted to them is not INCORRECT. THAT'S why the country is going DOWN because we do not focus on COMPETENCE and MERIT.

CEO's of top multinationals are naira billionaires. Salaries and stock options and they joined the companies as employees and worked their way up.

In this case, the problem is with the PhD holder not the country. Education is not meant to turn someone to mumu but to encourage one use his or her brain. there are some private primary, and secondary schools that would be ready to pay a PhD holder more than N20000 per month.
