Do you need/rely on the features of the s pen?....

S9 Plus is far better. Don’t get the Note 8 for any reason. If you needed the stylus, you wouldn’t be asking this question.

You should be comparing s9+ with note 9 not note 8, in any case s9+ is still preferable.
